Bob Michel – President

A week after he graduated from University of the Pacific with a degree in Marketing, Bob began selling branded merchandise.  After 5 years of sales he was promoted to Vice President of Sales which he enjoyed for 4 years before getting back into sales.  In 2002, his sales assistant and he began Proforma Marketing Agency. Under Bob’s leadership the company has grown substantially in both team members and revenues.  Over his career he has been fortunate to have received many industry awards for creative programs and sales achievement, but the best thing about his job is the great group of people that he gets to share his day with.

When not working he enjoy being outside playing golf, water or snow skiing, hiking, mountain biking, paddle boarding or just enjoying his toes in the sand. He has two grown children, a daughter who is currently in college in Southern   California and his son who is employed on the east coast.  Bob and his wife Laura of 31 years reside in the Walnut Creek area.   

 

 


 

 

Donna Dastoli – Senior Sales Partner

Donna Dastoli comes from a large, vivacious, fun-lovin’ Italian family comprised of 6 siblings and 12 nieces and nephews with whom she is extremely close.   Donna came to California from the east coast for an adventure when she was 21 and fell in love with the “chillaxed” lifestyle that California had to offer. 

Donna holds a degree in Broadcasting and foresaw herself as a successful Radio personality.  We think Donna would have been superb in just about any industry, but we are so grateful that the man who was interviewing her for her first Radio job had a friend in the Promotional Products industry and he was quick to ask Donna to meet with his friend about an opportunity she had at her agency.  Undoubtedly he could see that Donna belonged in front of an audience, rather than behind the microphone.   To this day Donna will say this, “At first I was disappointed as I wanted the radio job. But since I didn’t want to close any doors, I agree to meet with her.    And then, I fell in love with the Promotional products industry. ”   

In the office Donna is known as “Mama D. ” for her thoughtful and loving displays of affection, and to her clients she is known as the “packaging queen” for her endless creativity and out-of-the box thinking.   But most importantly she is known as a friend to all and as a woman who fully engages in the act of cultivating friendships and meaningful relationships.    

Professionally Donna loves to come up with creative ideas to launch successful brand-right projects and programs. Donna is supported by the incomparable Sylvia Wilson who has been the other half to this dynamic duo for more years then they wish to recount!   Donna is an intelligent and positive woman who is hailed as a leader in her field,but you won’t catch her letting these accolades get to her head, although sometimes we like to remind her of how respected she truly is!  Donna stands by this sentiment today, “The best part of the Promotional Products industry is the client friends I’ve made over the years.” 

Outside of the hallowed walls of PMA, you will find Donna living life to its fullest.   Donna loves to cook, entertain, FaceTime with family, wine taste, shop the farmers market, travel & hike.  Her favorite places are Kauai, Pt. Reyes, and Yosemite.  Donna was married on a beach in Kauai and tries to get back to the Islands when she can!   Donna lives in the Bay Area with her husband and very funny cat, Vinnie.

 


 

Stephanie Rhoads-Bickham – Senior Sales Partner

Landing in the Swag biz is, of course a natural progression following a degree in Music/Theatre and Languages and several years as District Manager with Gap, Inc. Then while Vice President at Innovative Marketing, a boutique promotions company, and almost 20 years partying with competitors Bob Michel and Donna Dastoli at industry events, she finally decided to join forces with them at Proforma Marketing Agency.  That was 5 years ago.

Jim Temple – Sales Partner 

After graduation from San Jose State University, Jim joined the family printing business in 1989. Having learned the trade from the groundup, he has extensive knowledge of the graphic arts profession. Jim has worked hands-on in prepress, the press room and all phases of the bindery process. This broad base of knowledge gives Jim the ability to spot problems in the planning phase of your projects eliminating potential headaches during the manufacturing process. He excels in project management and customer service with the goal of making your experience stress free. Jim joined the Proforma team in 2013 to expand Proforma’s ability to produce great printed products as well as to broaden his knowledge of the branded merchandise industry. 

Jim enjoys time away from work with family and pets. Nativeto Northern California, he enjoys traveling and is currently restoring a classic truck with his sons.

Sylvia Wilson – Account Manager

Sylvia Wilson is a Cal State Hayward College Graduate with 20+ years of experience in the Promotional Products Industry.  She is very proud to have grown professionally and personally as a member of Donna Dastoli’s sales team for well over 20 years, describing Donna as her most inspirational role model and mentor.

Sylvia’s work ethic, dedication, enthusiasm, and passion to exceed client expectations blends in beautifully with PMA’s work culture.  Her ability to anticipate what is needed and find solutions is seamless as she juggles multiple projects a day.

Her smile can definitely be felt though the phone line with a upbeat personality often being a bright spot in the work day for both clients and teammates. She makes everyone around her feel comfortable and is always available to lend a hand or brighten someone’s day.

Sylvia has a 14 year old son Zackary that keeps her busy and grounded and a Goddaughter Annabella, both share a special part of her life.  She is thankful to have a large extended close knit family, many of whom she considers to be her closest friends.  She is dedicated to her continued education and currently enrolled at DVC.  When not studying or working she fills her time laughing and connecting with family and friends. 

 

 


 

 

 

Nicole Temple – Sales Partner 

Nicole Temple has over 13 years of customer service and print production experience… 

After being a stay-at-home-mom (of three boys) for 8 years, while simultaneously earning her degree in Liberal Arts, Nicole began her journey into the print world in 2002.  She started working for a local printing company in Concord.  She began in the clerical end of the company but was quickly promoted to management due to her ability to learn new things and her amazing ability to work well with customers and coworkers.  She is extremely organized and is great with details and follow up!  She strives to make each customer feel special and has a long history of return clients who love working with her!  The past 13 years have been quite rewarding and life changing, leading her to Proforma in 2013.  It is with great pride that she is a proud team member of the Proforma Marketing Agency family and looks forward to her future in the ever changing print and promo world.

When not working Nicole enjoys spending time with loved ones,  spoiling her pets (two dogs, one cat and 30+ fish), relaxing in the backyard, gardening, listening to music and she loves home improvement projects (girl can swing a hammer). 

 


 

 

Emily Robertson – Account Manager

Emily recently entered the world of promotional marketing within the last year. Her previous professional experience includes 5 years as a Web Producer and Project Manager for video production and online digital content. This experience includes success in the swift and efficient execution of rich media design/development projects both in-house and outsourced. She thrives on multi-tasking in order to lead numerous projects simultaneously under tight time frames. Emily is continuously looking to build positive client relationships and provide the greatest customer satisfaction, with a little humor to go with it.

Before joining the Proforma team she became certified personal trainer and taught group boxing classes. Outside of the office she is an outdoor and adventure enthusiast – spending her spare time mountain biking, fishing, snowboarding, boxing and more. Born and raised in the Bay Area and one of four daughters, there is never a dull moment. Emily is currently residing in Walnut Creek and enjoys exploring all it has to offer. 

 

 


 

 

 

Rebecca Kay – Account Manager

For over 2 years Rebecca Kay has been a dedicated Account Manager at Proforma Marketing Agency.  She has over a decade of experience in the client services, travel and hospitality industries, working with companies such as The Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and United Airlines. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University and is currently working on completing her Project Management Certificate from UC Berkeley.   In an industry that is considered to be one of the most powerful global forms of brand awareness and marketing, Rebecca has found a deep passion for Project Management in the Ad Specialty Marketing arena.  She loves partnering with her clients to find unique and creative programs that match her client’s needs, budgets and specific project objectives. She takes great pride in watching her projects evolve from conception to completion.  Her greatest pleasure is working on innovative custom projects that enable her clients visions to become a reality. 

Outside of work, Rebecca is passionate about traveling and exploring diverse cultures and ways of life.  In her spare time, she enjoys anything that involves the great outdoors, attending concerts, spending time with her adorable twin nephews and discovering all the Bay Area has to offer. Rebecca currently resides in the Walnut Creek area.
